The Transylvania Triathlon Festival team strives to introduce something new every year. This year, we decided to take advantage of the excellent conditions of Lake Bezid and, keeping up with the trend, we are organizing a SUP race on 6th July. As far as we know, there hasn’t been a similar race in this region of the country, making our SUP race an absolute premiere. We would like to emphasize that our new initiative is supported by the Bioeel Company, which will reward the best male and female competitors with significant cash prizes.

General race information:

Categories:

• Short distance: U18 (young people aged 12 to 17), 18-39 years and 40+ – female and male
• Long distance: 18-39 years and 40+ – female and male

Distances:

• Short distance: 1.5 km (1 lap)
• Long distance: 4.5 km (3 laps)

Awards:

The first three places in each distance and age group category for both women and men will be awarded. The awards ceremony will take place of the competition day.

GRAND PRIZE!

The male competitor with the best time among those registered for the long distance will also receive a cash prize of 500 Euros, offered by the Bioeel Company! The cash prize will be awarded if at least 40 competitors register in the long distance – male category.*

The female competitor with the best time among those registered for the long distance will receive a cash prize of 500 Euros, offered by the Bioeel Company, provided at least 30 competitors start in the long distance – female category.*

*If the minimum number of participants is not reached, the best female and the best male competitor will receive a cash prize of 250 Euros!

Additional information:

1. Only inflatable SUPs are allowed in the race.

2. During paddling on the lake, you can only compete standing up!

3. Anyone can register; this is an open race, no club membership is required.
